Robin, Robin, Robins

It was early in the morning,

when I peeked out the window through the curtain,

I spotted three robins sitting at the edge of the bird bath.

The bath were small, the birds were packed, looked funny.

The robins might be drinking water just little left in broken bath.

I recently noticed the bird bath was cracked.

There used to be lots of birds flying down drinking,

and taking bath, splashing the water out of the bath.

But, couple of weeks now,

the water dried out as soon as the bath was filled..

Well, soon is the time to replace the bath for my backyard friends.

울새

아침에 창밖을 내다 보다가

울새 세마리가 좁은 물그릇에 꽉 끼어서 앉아 있는 걸 보고

너무 웃겨서 사진기를 들었다.

이 울새들은 자신들의 구역이 있는지

늘 오는 곳으로 와서 지낸다.

모이를 먹고 벌레를 잡고 물을 마시고 목욕을 하면서

집주인이 밖에 나오기라도 하면

목을 길게 빼고 쳐다 보다가

슬쩍 돌아 서서 느릿느릿한 걸음으로 자리를 비키곤 한다.

그렇게 안면이 있는 사이임에도

커튼을 제끼고 사진기를 들이대는 소리에

푸드득 물그릇 밖으로 나가 버렸다.

곧 다시 돌아 와서도 경계를 하는 걸 보면

어쩌면 늘 오는 나의 친구들이 아닐 수 있겠다.

물을 아무리 채워도 금방 비어 가는 것이

새들의 물통에 금이 가고 깨졌음이니

조금 남은 물을 감질나게 먹고 있는 뒷뜰의 새들아,

빨리 새 물통을 갖다 놔야

너희들이 예전 처럼 신나게 물놀이를 할 텐데..
